To lose the poet Mary Oliver seems hard, just now: she was a poet who provided not only the solace of beauty but showed that it was possible to look at darkness and see the light. She was 83 and had been treated for lymphoma since 2015. A long life, certainly, and one that spilled richness in her readers’ laps………..
